Father’s Day 2026, 2027 and 2028
Father’s Day is not celebrated in the bulk of mainland China, but Hong Kong is an exception. Having been long under British rule, the city has adopted more holidays and other elements of Western culture than most of the rest of China.
In 2026, Father’s Day falls on Sunday 21 June. The observance will be on Sunday 20 June in 2027.

In Hong Kong, as well as in Macau, unofficial but still enthusiastic Father’s Day celebrations break out every third Sunday of June. Restaurants and shops come alive as people take their Dad out for a festive meal and a night on the town.
At home, there may be family dinners, gift-giving, expressions of thanks to Dad for all he’s meant to his children, and other family customs. This is a day to make your father feel special and give him the love and attention he deserves!
